Take a bath in it. Yup, that’s right, instead of a bubble bath you can totally take a tea bath. Simply add six tea bags Steeped Tea has 30 blends of  tea in tea triangles— or a sachet with six teaspoons of loose leaf tea — to the tub as you’re filling it with warm water. Soak and luxuriate while drinking your favorite Steeped Tea cup of tea!

Use tea to rinse your hair. Steeped Tea Egyptian Chamomile herbal tea helps brighten blondes, Steeped Tea English Breakfast or Irish Breakfast black tea rejuvenates brunettes. Pour the cooled tea over your hair, then let it soak for 5-10 minutes before rinsing.

 

Steam your face. Herbals, especially, are wonderful for pulling toxins out of the skin. Put two tablespoons of tea in a bowl and add four cups boiling water . Using a towel to trap the steam, put your face over the bowl for anywhere from 5-15 minutes.

Make a mask. You can use tea and other common beauty products to create wonderful, simple, but truly luxurious masks, scrubs, and toners that will make your skin radiant.

 

Creamy Tea Mask

Not only does this mask help dab up excess oil in the skin, but it also exfoliates!

Ingredients:

  • 3 tablespoons rice flour
  • 3 tablespoons loose leaf Steeped Tea of your choice, brewed and cooled
  • 1 tea bag or loose tea from brewing

Preparation:

Empty the tea leaves from your tea ball or strainer. Add in flour and tea, stirring well to form a thick paste. If needed, add a little more tea or flour to get a consistency you like. Mask should ideally be used right away, but it can be stored in a sealed container in the fridge for several days.

To use: Apply mask thickly to face. Allow to sit for 15-20 minutes, or until it has dried. Wash off with warm water and a cloth using gentle, circular motions. Finish up with Tea Toner and a bit of your favorite moisturizer.

Luxurious Matcha Mask

Green tea powder, or matcha, is usually reserved for drinking and is most commonly associated with tea ceremonies in Japan  However, it’s also absolutely wonderful on your skin! This mask uses just a little bit of matcha to deliver vitamins and antioxidants for a glowing complexion.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 teaspoon organic Steeped Tea matcha powder
  • 2-3 tablespoons lotion

Preparation:

In a small dish, mix Steeped Tea matcha and lotion together until smooth. Store in a sealed container for up to a week.

To use: Apply mask, as thick as you like it, to face. Allow to sit for 10-20 minutes, then wash off with warm water and a cloth. Finish up with Tea Toner.

 

Lavender Tea Body Scrub

Use this scrub in the shower or bath to exfoliate and rejuvenate your skin.

Ingredients:

  • 4 teaspoons Steeped Tea tea
  • 2 teaspoons dried lavender buds
  • 4 teaspoons Steeped Tea Warm Vanilla sugar

Preparation:

Combine all ingredients in a small container, mixing well. Keeps indefinitely in a sealed container.

To use: Wet skin, then massage scrub into skin using gentle, circular motions. Rinse and dry, then follow up with Tea Toner and moisturizer.

Tea Toner

This simple toner cleanses, soothes, and refreshes the skin. Feel free to use whatever tea and essential oil blend you’d like.

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup Steeped Tea tea, brewed and cooled
  • 1/4 cup witchhazel
  • 1-2 drops essential oil of choice

Preparation:

Combine ingredients in a small jar or spray bottle. Store in the fridge for up to one week.

To use: Shake well. Apply to skin with a cotton ball or by spritzing.
